Manager, Processing & Warehouse


The Manager, Processing and Warehouse assist in processing of incoming goods, outgoing processed items for wholesale and retail sales and providing effective leadership to the processing and warehouse team. 

At all times, the manager shall ensure effective management of  processing and warehousing operations are in line with the company’s visions, policies, procedures and adhere to professional code of conduct and maintain personal integrity in all business transactions.

1.2               Lead  Processing, Warehouse and Workshop teams by coaching, counselling, planning, monitoring and appraising their job results

1.3               Set standard operational requirements for the teams to follow quality assurance and distribution to retail stores and wholesale export

1.4               Perform Stock Analysis by identifying current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with parties that have potential to understand customer service requirements for effective categorization and allocation of items to support  retail and wholesale activities

1.5               Ensure availability of sufficient stock within quality range to be supplied to the stores through internal inventory control and coordination with Retail and Wholesale management on the pricing and range/categorizes of the production

1.6               Maintain the processing productivity for the inbound/outbound stock control, pricing, packaging and buffer stock

1.7               Ensure Warehouse is stocked with readily saleable goods and presented in pristine condition at all times

1.8               Ensure security, fire safety/emergency procedures are maintained in the Processing and Warehousing Department

1.9               Manage the safe custody of all assets use in the Processing and Warehouse Department

1.10            Ensure that all equipment and vehicles are cleaned daily and maintained in pristine condition

2.       Logistics Management

2.1               Manage Motor Transportation team and job results by coaching, counselling, planning, monitoring and appraising job results.

2.2               Manage operational requirements by providing oversight of team leaders schedule, allocate staff to follow up on work assignment by developing a logistics system land customer purchased item delivery.

2.3               Ensure all delivery service of purchased goods from stores to customers are professionally handled in conjunction with Manager, Retail.

2.4               Work with Manager, Retail in the delivery services needed for the support of project sales activities

2.5               Ensure that all equipment and vehicles are cleaned daily and maintained in pristine condition

3.       Business Administration

3.1               Responsible to facilitate the implementation of policies and procedures as required by the management.

3.2               Conduct periodic  internal audits on procedures

3.3               Report any discrepancies/recommendations/proposal to the General Manager

3.4               Ensure that all routine standard reports, statistics, financial returns, information and reports as required are collated accurately and submitted to respective designated authorities

3.5               Involve the preparation of annual budgets and the effective deployment of resources and ensure financial procedures and control are fully adhered

3.6               Manage all operating costs within approved guidelines and budget

3.7               Ensure all statutory workplace safety and health standards are maintained and report any work in jury incident promptly

3.8               Attend all management meetings and communicate to staff all essential information promptly

3.9               Represent the company at official and networking meetings when required

3.10            Actively support and encourage staff to participate in house special events and programmes

3.11            Relieve Sales Supervisor when required

4.       Human Resources

4.1               Ensure adequate staffing and assist HR department in recruitment and selection process. Ensure all staff receives appropriate induction

4.2               Help to resolve staff grievances and facilitate the implementation of a fair ‘due process’ in the event that disciplinary action is required

4.3               Provide ongoing supervision and support to all staff including leave management

4.4               Take care of staff welfare

4.5               Ensure that the annual appraisal for all staff is carried out according to the company policy and recommend appropriate training for any performance deficiency

4.6               Encage teamwork by personal example, facilitating co-operation and effective communication amongst all staff

4.7               Apply team work at all levels

4.8               Hold staff meetings for information sharing, planning and review

4.9               Assist to promote volunteerism

4.10            Conduct in-service training for effective performance

4.11            Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks.

5.       Carry out any other duties that may be assigned by the General Manager from time to time.
