Account Manager (IBM Software)

Familiar with IBM software product portfolio:

o IBM Business Analytics software

o IBM Collaboration Solutions

o IBM Industry Solutions software

o IBM Security Systems

o Information Management software

o Rational software

o Tivoli software

o Web Sphere software


* Responsible for annual booking/revenue quota with significant growth in subsequent years.

* Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.

* Present and sell IBM software products and services to current and potential clients.

* Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.

* Develop, establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.

* Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.

* Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts.

* Identify and resolve client concerns.

* Develops and executes sales strategies focused on advanced technology solutions. Creates a team based demand generation plan that addresses the vertical market opportunities within commercial sector


* 3 years of relevant working experience in sales and/or account management in IT industry. Enterprise Sales Experience is mandatory.

* Strong leadership and influential skills in a teaming environment is a must, managing customers, partners and vendor.

* Ability to manage vendor relations and develop partnerships with vendors

* Understanding of IT enterprise software (Websphere, Tivoli, etc.)

* Ability to work well in a team and independently

* Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

* Strong leadership and influential skills in a teaming environment is a must, managing customers, partners and vendor; able to deliver business value to the sales operation

* Able to deliver business value in a sales context.
